带路犬兄,小弟倒是觉得国内完全买的到入门斗的,国外某些low grade的斗价格比国内要高,,而且还有价格不菲的运费,当然买高级斗那只有国外一条路了.
由于急着回帖,可能语气有不好的地方,还请大家原谅.但既然在村里的都是国内烟斗的先行者,希望可以带个好头,把中国人的烟斗水平提高的快一点,多发一些对烟斗及烟草及配件理解和讨论的帖子,这样也对的起村长为这个空间所付出的金钱及精力.
最近在和一个老外的烟斗前辈通信,学到了一些东西,改天有空整理出来.老外对烟斗的照顾程度可是一点也不输给国人养紫砂壶的.不但棕榈蜡是必备的,而且还用polish给烟斗bowl以及stem上光,并且明确告诉我: …To get a good and lasting polish on vulcanite one must first neutralize the sulfur in the rubber than is on the surface of the stem. To do this I soak the stem in common household bleach for an hour or so. Then, after a good washing with water, let the stem dry. Then the stem goes through three buffings on the electric buffer: gray pumice (course); Tripoli (medium course); white compound (light). Then the stem is polished with carnauba wax. Final step is run pipe cleaners dipped in Ever-Clear 195 proof alcohol through the air hole to sanitize it. Same sanitization done to the shanks air hole.
Some other accessories you should have and are not mentioned in your letter are: a good tamper; a pipe rack with a capacity large enough for the pipes you now own and intend to buy (pipes should be stored bowl down in racks for drying and storage); a good supply of the English Swan Vesta matches (pipe matches are the best for the pipe); air tight pipe tobacco canisters…我本来也没把烟斗配件想的那么重要,而且确实在使用步骤上一窍不通,现在看来养烟斗确实也是一个烟斗客所必须具备的,希望大家看后会有帮助(村长是英语专业,所以还是请村长代为翻译).
