This brief experiment tests the claim that, because Sodium Silicate is classified as "anhydrous" on Material Safety Data Sheets, that a mixture of sodium silicate, activated charcoal, and pumice will form a hard "glass like" layer preventing moisture from passing through the coating and, therefore, creating a "wet" smoke.
