谢谢回复。虫兄看看这段。
Does anyone here have pipes by Emil Chonowitsch? If so, I'd be
interested in their opinions.
I must admit that I thought the run on his estates a bit faddish until
recently - a cheaper (though still pricey) way of getting a pipe with a
Chono stamp. Then I bought one all the same and find that it smokes
every bit as well as a Jess, though the younger Chonowitsch is more of a
perfectionist and a better designer, imo.
Also, the bit on the Emil is wonderfully comfortable and I find myself
smoking it more and more. Now, I've grown so attached to it that I've
ordered a second.
However, I find the fairly steep estate prices on Ebay a bit puzzling,
since Emil was never an outrageously expensive carver in his day. Are
these price tags primarily due to the fact that he is Jess' father?
Best,
Martin

看了这段可能会对emil的看法有点改变。
起码emil斗的吸烟质量我在网上看见好几个人都说不错的(咱们村里的台北应兄也对他赞誉有加)
俺可暂时还没有想上jess,上不起呵呵。
