早听说了这件事情, 说实话是不知道哪位高人安排的. 本想也去凑个热闹, 不巧要出趟远门, 时间错不开, 可能去不了了.
详细时间表见下面(就不翻译细节了), 反正具体是12月5-6号在海南.
Show Schedule
15th November, 2009
For those makers who want us to import their show pipes should have their pipes arrived at our address in Hong Kong no later than 15th November, 2009.
3rd December, 2009 (Thursday evening)
We hope all pipe makers will arrive in Haikou no later than this time.
4th December, 2009 (11:00 Friday morning)
Pre-Show inspection of the show venue.
City tour for the wives and families.
4th December, 2009 (15:00 – 16:30 Friday afternoon)
Cocktail party for the pipe makers to meet with the media.
4th December, 2009 (16:30 Friday evening)
18:30 Private dinners for pipe makers, their wives, show organizers and selected VIPs.
5th December, 2009
9:30 Ribbon cutting ceremony by the Danish Ambassador (note 1), Haikou City officials and show organizer. Pipe show opens at 9:45 am.
14:00 – 15:30 Seminar #1
16:00 – 17:30 Seminar #2
18:30 Dinner at the show venue
20:30 Smoking Competition
6th December, 2009
9:00 Show opens
9:30 – 11:00 Seminar #3
11:15 – 12:30 Seminar #4
13:00 – 16:00 Auction of rare and significant pipes
16:30 Show closes
Other activities:
There will be two private rooms set aside where we will ask each pipe maker to each book a room for one hour during the show in order to meet with collectors in a more comfortable and private environment.
Note 1: The show organizing committee asks that the pipe makers collectively write letters to the Danish Ambassador to China (Beijing) and the Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou and invite them to attend the pipe show. Their websites are:

The City of Haikou & Hainan Province
• Haikou is the Provincial Capital of Hainan Province.
• Hainan Province is the southernmost and smallest province of China. The total area is 33,920 square kilometers. Population in 2004 was 8.18 million. (The population of Denmark was estimated at 5,484,723 in 2008)
• The northern part of Hainan (Haikou) is sub-tropical and the southern part is tropical. The Haikou daytime high temperature for the month of December is 22 degrees and nighttime low is 16 degrees. You can find the 10-day forecast here: http://www.weather.com/outlook/t ... p;from=search_10day

• The major industries for Hainan Province are tourism and agriculture (fruits).
Visa Requirements
We suggest those pipe makers planning to attend the show should apply for their Chinese Visa as soon as possible. Here’s the website from the Chinese Embassy in Denmark:

Hotel Accommodations
The show committee has been in negotiation with two hotels in Haikou, They are:
1. The Haikou Sheraton
The Sheraton is situated about 35 minutes from the show venue. The advantages are its western management style and beach front location.

The special room rate given to the show attendants is 700 rmb per night (about 70 euros) for the Garden View rooms and 800 rmb for the ocean view rooms (about 80 euros).
2. Huandao Tide Hotel
The Huandao Tide Hotel is situated 5 minutes from the show venue but it is not ocean front. The website is: http://www.huandaotide.com/index.php?Locale=en-us
The special room rate given to the show attendants is 350rmb per night (about 35 euros)
The show committee can book reservation on your behalf. We’ll need your full name as appeared on your passport and your arrival and departure dates. The show committee will arrange airport pick-up once we have your flight information.

If you would like to tour some of the attractions while in China, I would like to recommend the following cites.

• The capital city for 13 Chinese dynasties.

• The best shopping in China.
