I got started making pipes about 8 years ago and learned from a retired US
master pipemaker initially, then from a wide variety of helpful professional
pipemakers as my work progressed.  In 1999 I was able to leave my regular
job and become a full-time pipemaker.  In 2002, my wife and I purchased a
pipemaking workshop in Brittany, France, and we moved here from the US.  We
produce three different types of pipes here.  Our entry line is called Ligne
Bretagne, and these pipes are partially machine-made in order to keep the
prices down, though they are very fine pipes in their own right.  Prices
typically range from 85? to 130? with exceptional pieces costing up to 200?
or more.  Our second line are the Talbert Mortas.  These pipes are handmade
from petrified bog-oak which we find in the local marshes.  The trees are
several thousand years old and have petrified in the peat of the marshes,
creating a black wood/mineral which is unique in the world of pipes.
Finally, our highest grade brand is Talbert Briar - fully handmade briar
pipes in a variety of shapes from classical to very unusual.  Talbert Briars
start at 345? and can cost up to 1000? for truly exceptional pieces.  Full

I started making pipes in 1989 with the help of Mike Butera.  I made pipes
part time until 1995 and I took a sabbatical so to speak, In 2001 I began to
make pipes full time.  I live in Perrysburg Ohio and have my pipe making studio
at home.  I have been making about 20 pieces a month Smoothes, rusticated and
just began to do my own sandblasting.  Using only Plateau Briar mainly from
Italy I developed a secondary curing process which delivers a wonderful sweet,
cool smoke from the first bowl. Roush pipes have become very well known their
"no break in requirement" I also do all my own Gold and Silver work.

Each pipe created is a one-of-a-kind piece, being developed, based on the character of the briar itself. The personality of each particular piece of briar is what dictates to the craftsman, how each piece will develop, and become that one-of-a-kind pipe.

The von Erck Classics is a bit out of the ordinary. Boring, shaping, and polishing of the pipes is done in a small shop in the Northwoods of Michigan . The pipes are then put through a lengthy oil-curing and drying process before they are returned for crafting of a bit for each pipe. The bit for each pipe is as unique and individual as that of the pipe it is created for. The final step in the lengthy process is to assign and stamp each pipe with it's own individual Serial number and nomenclature.
The von Erck pipes are being found in collections of many prominent collectors and are prized for their exceptional craftsmanship and smokeability.

Hello my friends, let me tell you a bit about me and my pipes. I live and work in the small city of Nelson in New Zealand. I am a tool maker by trade, but was involved in photography for the last twenty years. Both of these trades helped me to develop my pipe making skills and keen eye, a necessary skill needed by every pipe maker.

Being a small workshop, I can apply a personal touch to every pipe that I make, and have no time restrains on my work. I can exploit every block of briar to its maximum potential, achieving results that many of my customers are looking for.

I am not a heavy smoker myself and would normally smoke only after work and on weekends, but I do enjoy making, collecting and smoking pipes. I believe that pipes are an adults best toy, and there are few  things in life which gives you so much pleasure for modest investment which will keep on delighting you for many years.

When I create a pipe, I try to make it a personal item that is an extension of the smoker that receives it. I feel that this is my way of bringing a little joy and pride into the lives of my fellow smokers. I try to create pipes that I think a fellow pipe smoker will be proud of, enjoy and get the most value for the money. I want to create pipes that will bring pleasure to the true pipe lovers, rather then trying to produce smoking utensils for the masses.

It is a great pity that governments all over the world are taking such a hard stand against smoking in general. They unfortunately don't separate a good quality and relaxing form of pipe smoking from the general trend of cigarette smoking which as we all know is something completely different.

So lets light up our favourite pipe tobacco, lean back, relax and just puff and puff and have a great time ...

Neerup制作人是居住在丹麦的Peder Jeppesen，制作烟斗经验约25年。他开始是在Karl Erik厂房做事，之后跳巢到Nording，在那里开始学习制作烟斗的。他用的木料是Corsica, Greece石南木，偶而也用Morocco石南木。

Peder Jeppesen除了制作烟斗以为，也制作手工刀。
