1812 年，银匠 Benjamin Barling 为他的手制海泡石烟斗配上银饰，开始正式制售 Barling 烟斗。1851 年，公司进入“现代”阶段，开始用当时神奇的新材料 －－ 石楠根制产烟斗。从世纪之交，一直到公司于 1960 年被收购为止，世界各地的烟斗客都不断搜寻以吸烟质量高而著称的“B. Barling & Sons”烟斗(Pre-Transitional Barling)。经过不少质量变化以及所在地迁徙，现今 Barling 烟斗又重出江湖。

斗口内侧是斜角,照片上看起来薄,实际不算薄. B.B&S的BARLING好像价格都不高。个人总结一下BARLING牛斗的因素:
1 圆弧标BARLING(早期商标，之后改为手写体商标)
最佳时期的商标
2 YE OLDE WOOD(老石楠)
100-150年的老木头
3 T.V.F(THE VERY FINE)
意思很明白
4 两位或者三位的编号。
早期的编号，斗型比较少的缘故

[ 本帖最后由 _marlboro 于 2008-6-3 16:05 编辑 ] 虽然这不是一支华丽漂亮的斗，但是这是一支值得收藏但不值得抽的老斗（原因在于斗壁的确是被重新钻孔或磨薄了，而且磨掉不止一点点），但BB&S自有其价值所在，据了解，B. Barling & Sons的吸烟质量的确是很高的，在各大英文论坛上也有介绍。 >>但BB&S自有其价值所在
有BB&S的鋼印 確實是很老的斗但是否有收藏價值 呵呵 個人有其他的看法
