请教关于热带地区如何保存烟草

最近看了很多前辈的帖子，特别是村长帖子里的那么多藏货。小弟顿时也有了一点多屯些烟丝的想法。本人长期待在新加坡，一年四季都是夏天。。想问一下，如果我都是买铁盒的dunhill 和一些 SG 铁盒的烟丝， 需不需要一些特殊的保存方法？ 还是说只是放在储藏室就好？ 因为看到一些朋友的帖子，应该是由于储藏不对，导致发霉， 这要是屯了几年开箱一看，都发霉了这不是傻眼了吗？ 另外封存是不是就不能够时常打开检查？ =。=

Ikeep all my tobacco and cigars on the second floor in a cardboard box and in my dresser.

I have cellared mine for more than ten years now without any problems.

Rattray’s 100g, tinned before 2009, are in good condition, no rust.However, I noticed tins produced after 2010 have very high moisture content and the rust forms within the tin.So, best to avoid Rattray’sor smoke them as soon as possible.

Also,if you are staying near coastal locations like Sentosa island or East Coast etc , the salty breeze may cause or accelerate metal tin corrosion.

Bukit Timah and Central area are usually fine.If you live on landed property, best to avoid storing them on the ground floor.

As for pipes.I use two 85L camera dehumidifier cabinets.They keep all my pipes dry and mould free…and smell free.

Good idea to vacuum seal them.

Few years ago, I had the good fortune to acquire a few kilos of fine Syrian latakia pipe tobacco and some aged perique tobacco from Louisiana,vacuum seal them in batches and keep them in the cabinet…saving it up for a rainy day.

There are some people who totally disagree with this method because this will stop the aging of the tobacco….because air is required in the process.

However, you don't want rusting...nothing is worse than aging a tin for 10 years, only to pop it open to see it ruined by a hole due to rust.

Cellar tobacco is more pain than it is worth it, if you ask me, after more then ten years of experimenting withit.

Investing in the stock market is a better idea, i think..
